Bay Area African Dance
African Dance in the San Francisco Bay Area offers some of the best classes and students in the country. Known for his energetic and fluid style, master dance teacher Naby Bangoura has been performing and teaching West African Dance-Guinea Style in dance studios and workshops all over the United States. Local classes are held in San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, and Santa Cruz. Come dance with us!

Upcoming Trips!
Join Class Anytime or Take a Trip....Participants will travel with Naby Bangoura to the city of Conakry and his home village of Kindia. We will learn the dances, rhythms, and songs of peoples across Guinea, from the coastal region to the forest region.
Naby and others will share the history and stories of the rhythms and cultural traditions. We will visit dance companies such as the National Ballet, Les Ballets Africains de Guinee, Ballet Djoliba, and Les Merveilles de Guinee. 
About
Naby Bangoura
A native of Guinea, West Africa, Naby grew up dancing. He traveled and performedwith Les Ballets Merveilles for many years before coming to America. In New York, he taught at the Djoniba School, as well as at the Abized School. He hasalso taught at the Jewish Community Center of Houston, Texas and the DanceGallery in Santa Cruz, California. Currently he teaches West African Guineandance at San Francisco’s prestigious ODC dance studio as well as otherreputable Bay Area dance studios. Naby’s dynamic skills and soaring spirithave established his dance class as one of Kosmos Camp’s high energy. There islive West African drumming that accompanies Naby’s dance class.
